Useful Little Helpers
No matter which software you are using, you will always find some imperfection. Fortunately we do have many unselfish people in the computer business, who are taking care of those problems.

They just sit down and on the spot write a program, which will get rid of these bugs. Most of these programs are even free of charge. The programs in question are shareware or freeware. Today I would like to present you with two of the above.

ACDSee32 version 2.3
The ACDSee is a full substitute for the Windows EXPLORER. Everything you can do with the EXPLORER, is also possible with ACDSee.

One of the highlights, however, is that for example graphic files are shown not only by their names. ACDSee can understand many file formats and display their contents also in tiny preview pictures, the so-called "thumbnails". This is a blessing for all amongst us who do work a lot with graphic programs. Here the old saying is proving itself again: a picture is telling more than a thousand words.

Just click on the following URL and get ACDSee onto your disc:

Soon you will forget why other people are still working with the EXPLORER.

CSG-Editor
This is an autoCAD-Program. At the cost of DM 500.-- it is not quite cheap, but for sure worth all of its money. You can get a free version running in demo mode, which means once in a while little pop-up boxes will appear reminding you to get your demo registered. With the exception of these reminders there is no difference between the two versions. Just click the below URL!

CSG is the abbreviation for Constructive Solid Geometry and describes the construction method of how to put together complex solids using primitives (sphere, cylinder, square).

Why is the CSG-Editor so unique? Everybody who works a lot with solids in autoCAD knows how much trouble it is for example to move a drilling that had already been fixed in place. The CSG-Editor has the solution. Click on the drilling, move, done. There is no simpler and quicker way than this!

The CSG-Editor can do much more than I could tell you in this short article. So it is really worth checking into it!
