What can you expect in aluCAD?
|
|
aluCAD is the ALUSETT tool for exhibit construction. Currently it may be
run only on autoCAD13 (German or English). The operating system has to
be WINDOWS'95 or WINDOWS NT.
As autoCAD14 has been on the market for a while already, we too are
working on a new aluCAD release. It will be ready for use in early
March'98.

What do you expect from aluCAD?
|
|
Do you already use autoCAD? Then the above question is for you. But even
if you are not already working with a CAD program, you might give a
thought to the question: What would you like to find in a specific
ALUSETT program?
It is extremly important for us to know your opinion on this subject.
After all, we want to offer you a program that meets your specific
requirements.
I would like to approach all of you who are already using aluCAD. If you
run into a problem, do not get frustrated every time they occur. Just
send me a short e-mail right on the spot.

What does aluCAD expect from you?
|
|
You should have some experience with a CAD program, autoCAD at best.
Since aluCAD is completely set up in 3D, you should be familiar with
threedimensional design.
If you are used to learning a program by the "trial and error" basis,
you will still get to know the program after a while. However, you will
proceed much faster using the excellent on-line support.

What does aluCAD expect from your hardware?
|
|
It does not more than your autoCAD does.
Ideally, you should have a
Pentium-Pro or a Pentium-II inside your PC. Just a few 32 MB-RAM modules
and a good graphics board will reduce your "coffee breaks" to a minimum,
especially if you want to generate photo-realistic pictures. Nothing is
more important than RAM, RAM and again, RAM. 64MB is the minimum you
should have. Your motto should be: "Think Big!"
